In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Application Developer specializing in Open Source, you will develop, support, and maintain applications using open source development platforms. You will utilize your expertise in open source technologies to analyze and resolve issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Develop and Maintain Applications: Develop, support, and maintain applications using open source development platforms such as C, C++, Perl, Python, Node JS, and Django, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet client needs.

• Analyze and Resolve Issues: Utilize expertise in open source technologies to analyze and resolve issues, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to clients.

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions, providing technical guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Provide Technical Guidance: Offer technical guidance and support to clients on open source platform implementation, customization, and integration, ensuring seamless adoption and optimal usage.

Required technical and professional expertise

•Must Have skills AIX, SQL (DB2), KSH

•Exposure to Open Source Development: Experience working with open source development platforms such as C, C++, Perl, Python, Node JS, and Django, with the ability to develop, support, and maintain applications.

• Issue Analysis and Resolution: Exposure to analyzing and resolving issues using open source technologies, with the ability to provide timely and effective solutions.

• Collaboration and Teamwork: Experience working with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions, with the ability to provide technical guidance and support.

• Technical Guidance and Support: Exposure to providing technical guidance and support to clients on open source platform implementation, customization, and integration.

• Implementation and Integration: Experience working with open source technologies to implement and integrate solutions, with the ability to ensure seamless adoption and optimal usage.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Open Source Customization: Exposure to customizing open source platforms such as Django, with the ability to tailor solutions to meet client needs.

• Advanced Issue Resolution: Experience working with open source technologies to analyze and resolve complex issues, with the ability to provide timely and effective solutions.

• Cross-Platform Integration: Exposure to integrating open source technologies with other platforms, with the ability to ensure seamless adoption and optimal usage.
