We are seeking a skilled Cloud Network Engineer to join our IBM Cloud Privileged Access Gateway team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software products, working with a variety of technologies and programming languages.

The IBM Cloud Privileged Access Gateway team is growing and looking for Cloud Network Engineer. You will be responsible to design, implement, troubleshoot and manage secure, scalable cloud networking solutions on IBM cloud.

The right candidate particularly thrives in designing, implementing and managing secure, scalable cloud networking and enforce best practices for cloud network architecture and automation. Strong communication skills are a must given the global distribution of our team. Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud network architectures (VPCs, subnets, routing, gateways, load balancers).
Ensure network security using firewalls, security groups, NACLs, WAF, and zero-trust principles.
Automate network provisioning and configuration using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, latency, and availability.
Implement and manage DNS, IPAM, and traffic management solutions.
Collaborate with SRE, platform and application teams to support scalable deployments.
Support production incidents, perform RCA and drive continuous network reliability improvements.
Enforce cloud networking standards, best practices, and cost optimization.
Document network designs, operational runbooks, and compliance requirements.
6+ years of industry experience in System Networking, TCP/IP, UDP Protocols, static and dynamic routing protocols.
Proven knowledge of working in Client-Server architecture.
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
Good problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills for complex issues with interdependencies across multiple modules
Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
Experience with docker and kubernetes networking
Experience working with Global teams.
CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
Experience in network virtualisation.
Experience in Linux Python programming, Systems knowledge, Virtualisation experience with VMware, KVM..etc
Experience working with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
Experience with at least one major cloud provider (IBM, AWS, Google, Azure)
Experience with Agile Software Development Experience
Experience with ansible, terraform
Hands-on experience and knowledge of OCP and Kubernetes, Operators, CRDs
An understanding of application security and information security controls
Experience with geographically distributed teams
Understanding of cloud security best practices

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and auditors, and to document compliance processes.
