In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Package Specialist: SAP Solution Manager, you will design, implement, and maintain the SAP Solution Manager module to optimize SAP system landscapes, monitoring, and support processes. This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Design and Configure Solution Manager Processes: Design and configure Solution Manager processes, including system monitoring, incident management, and problem management, to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems. • Develop and Maintain Customizations: Develop and maintain Solution Manager customizations, interfaces, and reports to meet business needs and optimize SAP system landscapes. • Test and Troubleshoot Issues: Test and troubleshoot Solution Manager issues, identifying and resolving errors and inconsistencies to ensure smooth operation. • Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Solution Manager functionality and best practices to ensure effective usage. • Analyze and Optimize Processes: Analyze and optimize SAP system landscapes, monitoring, and support processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to SAP Solution Manager: Experience working with SAP Solution Manager, including designing, implementing, and maintaining the module to optimize SAP system landscapes, monitoring, and support processes. • Knowledge of SAP ECC and IT Service Management: Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and IT service management best practices to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems. • Experience with Cloud ALM and Focused Run: Experience working with Cloud ALM and Focused Run to analyze and optimize SAP system landscapes, monitoring, and support processes. • Understanding of System Monitoring and Incident Management: Experience with system monitoring, incident management, and problem management processes to identify and resolve errors and inconsistencies. • Familiarity with Customization and Interface Development: Exposure to developing and maintaining Solution Manager customizations, interfaces, and reports to meet business needs.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Cloud ALM Experience: Exposure to working with Cloud ALM, analyzing and optimizing SAP system landscapes, monitoring, and support processes to ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems. • Focused Run Knowledge: Experience working with Focused Run, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to optimize SAP system landscapes, monitoring, and support processes. • IT Service Management Best Practices: Strong knowledge of IT service management best practices, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules and third-party systems.
