In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Package Specialist for SAP HANA Application Security, you will support the implementation and production support of SAP HANA Security, utilizing business knowledge and packaged solution expertise to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access. You will work closely with business stakeholders, security teams, and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP HANA application security with other SAP systems and third-party applications.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design and Implement SAP Security Solutions: Design, implement, and maintain SAP HANA application security solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of SAP HANA-based applications, meeting company security standards and compliance requirements.

• Configure SAP Security Settings: Configure and customize SAP security settings to meet client requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations such as SOX, HIPAA, and GDPR.

• Conduct Security Audits and Risk Assessments: Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation, ensuring compliance with company security policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with Clients: Collaborate with clients to understand their security requirements and translate them into functional solutions, providing training and support on SAP security best practices and tools.

• Maintain Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base, staying up-to-date with new features and releases of SAP security modules and the latest SAP HANA security features, trends, and best practices.

• Exposure to SAP HANA Application Security: Experience working with SAP HANA application security solutions, including design, implementation, and maintenance to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of SAP HANA-based applications.

• Knowledge of Security Principles: Familiarity with security principles and best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC) and segregation of duties (SoD) in SAP systems.

• Understanding of Compliance Requirements: Exposure to industry standards and regulations, such as SOX, HIPAA, and GDPR, and experience ensuring compliance with these requirements.

• Technical Skills in SAP Security: Strong technical skills in SAP security, including configuration and customization of SAP security settings, and conducting security audits and risk assessments.

• Experience with SAP Systems Integration: Experience working with SAP systems and integrating SAP HANA application security with other SAP systems and third-party applications.

Preferred technical and professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in SAP HANA Application Security

  • Knowledge of SAP Security modules, latest features, and best practices

  • Experience with regulatory compliance (SOX, HIPAA, GDPR)

  • Integration of SAP HANA security with SAP systems and third-party applications

  • SAP Fiori Security and SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) experience

  • Basic English (technical reading and functional communication)

  • University degree in IT or related field

  • SAP Security certification (required or preferred)
