Your role and responsibilities

The Technical Architect will lead the design, development, and delivery of next‑generation SAP solutions across complex enterprise environments. The role is responsible for shaping technical strategy, defining solution architectures, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with organisational and government standards. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong stakeholder engagement capability, and the ability to guide multi‑disciplinary teams in delivering high‑quality SAP-enabled business outcomes.

Develop and govern enterprise‑grade SAP solution architectures across SAP NextGen platforms, ensuring alignment with business strategy and technical standards.

• Provide expert architectural leadership across SAP S/4HANA, cloud integrations, digital platforms, automation technologies, and emerging SAP innovations.

• Lead technical design processes, architectural reviews, and end‑to‑end solution assurance for major programs and complex multi‑vendor environments.

• Translate business requirements into robust architectural blueprints, integration patterns, and technology roadmaps.

• Advise program and project teams on SAP platform engineering, performance optimisation, data strategy, security, and integration approaches.

• Partner with senior business, technical, and vendor stakeholders to influence strategy, shape solution direction, and ensure technical coherence.

• Drive innovation by evaluating new SAP technologies, cloud capabilities, and automation opportunities to enhance digital transformation outcomes.

• Oversee and guide development teams, ensuring best practice engineering, scalability, maintainability, and compliance with security and architectural frameworks.

• Support risk identification, mitigation planning, and architectural governance to ensure quality and reliability of technical solutions.

• Prepare and deliver high‑quality architectural documentation, technical assessments, and executive‑level recommendations.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of architectural methods, standards, and capability uplift within the organisation.

Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

• Extensive experience as a Technical Architect or Application Architect specialising in SAP enterprise environments.

• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, cloud integration services, data models, and API‑driven architectures.

• Demonstrated experience designing complex, large‑scale, mission‑critical SAP and cloud solutions across government or regulated sectors.

• Proven ability to define technical roadmaps, architectural strategies, and solution frameworks for multi‑platform SAP deployments.

• Strong understanding of contemporary architecture practices including microservices, cloud‑native design, automation, and DevSecOps.

• Experience working across multi‑vendor delivery models and guiding development, integration, and testing teams.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive and non‑technical audiences.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on quality, reliability, and scalability.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Certification in SAP architecture, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, or relevant cloud provider certifications.

• Experience in government digital transformation programs or high‑security technical environments.

• Exposure to AI‑enabled automation, analytics, and next‑generation SAP innovation technologies.
