In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Oracle Application Consultant at IBM Consulting’s Client Innovation Centre, you will help clients transform their business processes by implementing and optimizing Oracle SaaS solutions across various domains such as Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, HCM, and more. You’ll collaborate with global teams and work across the full project lifecycle—Design, Build, Test, Run, and Support—to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that drive measurable business value.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and Configure Oracle Solutions: Develop and configure Oracle SaaS applications to meet client requirements, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance standards.
  • Implement Oracle Cloud Modules: Deploy and integrate Oracle applications across multiple functional areas (Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, HCM, etc.) to support end-to-end business processes.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with business owners and end users to gather and define requirements, ensuring solutions align with client goals and objectives.
  • Analyse and Optimize Processes: Evaluate existing processes and design solutions that improve efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
  • Support Testing and Delivery: Assist in testing activities, resolve defects, and ensure smooth deployment and transition to support.
  • Apply Industry Expertise: Leverage knowledge of best practices to tailor solutions to specific industry and business needs.
  • Contribute to Growth: Participate in proposals and pre-sales activities for new projects, showcasing your expertise and consulting skills.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest IT trends, methodologies, and Oracle technologies to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Occasional Travel: Attend client workshops and support project delivery on-site when required.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Oracle Knowledge: Experience with Oracle Cloud Applications (SaaS), Oracle eBusiness Suite, JD Edwards, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Business Process Understanding: Familiarity with key processes across multiple domains, such as:
    • Finance: Q2C (Quote-to-Cash), O2C (Order-to-Cash), P2P (Procure-to-Pay), R2R (Record-to-Report), Planning & Budgeting, Consolidation.
    • Supply Chain & Procurement: Inventory Management, Logistics, Transportation Management, Supplier Collaboration.
    • Sales & Marketing: Lead-to-Opportunity, Campaign Management, Customer Experience.
    • Human Resources: Hire-to-Retire, Talent Management, Payroll, Workforce Planning.
  • Solution Implementation: Hands-on experience in implementing Oracle solutions that meet client requirements and align with business objectives.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex business challenges and design effective solutions.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders and working in global teams.
  • Adaptability & Creativity: Ability to work in dynamic project environments and apply innovative approaches.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn new technologies and stay current with Oracle and IT trends.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel for business needs.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Advanced Oracle Experience: Exposure to designing and configuring Oracle Cloud Applications across multiple domains (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, HCM, etc.) to improve efficiency, reporting, and data accuracy.
  • Best Practices Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements to ensure solutions meet client needs and are tailored to specific business contexts.
  • Cloud Module Implementation: Experience implementing and integrating Oracle Cloud modules for end-to-end business processes.
  • Issue Analysis & Documentation: Strong skills in analysing issues, specifying requirements, and producing clear documentation.
  • Methodologies: Understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile delivery approaches.
  • Language Skills: Additional languages such as German or Hungarian are an advantage.
