In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Project Manager for Cloud Solutions, you will oversee the successful delivery of cloud-based solutions to clients, managing project scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables to ensure alignment with service orders or contracts. You will employ project management techniques such as the Garage Method for Cloud, Design Thinking, and Agile Delivery Model to drive solution delivery. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Manage Project Scope and Deliverables: Oversee project scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables to ensure alignment with service orders or contracts, employing project management techniques such as the Garage Method for Cloud, Design Thinking, and Agile Delivery Model. • Lead Delivery Team: Lead the delivery team and interface with client project managers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. • Interface with Clients: Collaborate with client project managers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that project deliverables meet their expectations. • Apply Project Management Methodologies: Apply project management techniques such as the Garage Method for Cloud, Design Thinking, and Agile Delivery Model to drive solution delivery. • Ensure Technical Alignment: Ensure that project deliverables align with technical requirements, including cloud migration, continuous modernization, and coexistence architecture.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Cloud Migration Experience: Exposure to cloud migration, continuous modernization, coexistence architecture, refactoring, containerization, APIs, Microservices, and Kubernetes
• Cloud Platform Delivery: Hands-on experience in project delivery on at least one major cloud platform, such as IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Red Hat OpenShift, or Google Cloud Platform
• Application Component Knowledge: Strong understanding of application components, including System of Engagement (SOE), System of Insight (SOI), System of Integration (SOI), and System of Records (SOR).
• Project Management Techniques: Exposure to project management techniques such as the Garage Method for Cloud, Design Thinking, and Agile Delivery Model.
• Technical Leadership: Experience leading delivery teams and interfacing with client project managers and other stakeholders in a cloud-based solution delivery environment.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Cloud Architecture Knowledge: Exposure to designing and implementing cloud architectures, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments, to support cloud migration and modernization efforts.
• DevOps Practices: Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and delivery, to ensure smooth project delivery and operations.
• IT Service Management: Exposure to IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL, to ensure alignment with service orders or contracts and to drive solution delivery.
