In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Application Developer with expertise in Front End, you will translate visual and interactive designs into functional web and mobile applications. You will utilize responsive design and development techniques to create prototypes and perform hands-on coding for the application user interface.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Develop Application User Interface: Leverage technologies such as CSS3, HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, and associated frameworks to create functional and interactive application interfaces. This involves using responsive design and development techniques to ensure seamless user experiences across various devices and platforms.

• Create Prototypes: Use hands-on coding skills to develop prototypes that meet design requirements and specifications, incorporating technologies like AJAX, JSON, jQuery, and Dojo.

• Implement Responsive Design: Apply responsive design techniques to ensure that applications adapt to different screen sizes, devices, and orientations, providing an optimal user experience.

• Utilize APIs and Frameworks: Integrate various APIs and frameworks to enhance application functionality and performance, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

• Perform Hands-on Coding: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets project requirements, using programming languages like JavaScript and PHP.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Exposure to Front-End Development: Familiarity with translating visual and interactive designs into functional web and mobile applications using responsive design and development techniques.

• Hands-on Coding Experience: Experience working with programming languages such as JavaScript, PHP, and associated frameworks to create functional and interactive application interfaces.

• Knowledge of Web Technologies: Understanding of technologies like CSS3, HTML5, AJAX, JSON, jQuery, and Dojo, and their application in front-end development.

• Experience with Responsive Design: Exposure to applying responsive design techniques to ensure seamless user experiences across various devices and platforms.

• Familiarity with APIs and Frameworks: Basic understanding of integrating various APIs and frameworks to enhance application functionality and performance

• Proficient in Japanese Language - reading, writing, speaking, listening.

• Amenable to work on a client-based schedule (dayshift, mid-shift, night-shift) and in any IBM location in Quezon City (UP Ayala Technohub) or Cebu.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Familiarity with Dojo Toolkit: Exposure to using Dojo for creating functional and interactive application interfaces, enhancing application functionality and performance.

• Knowledge of JSON Data: Understanding of JSON data interchange format and its application in front-end development, including data exchange and storage.

• Experience with jQuery Library: Exposure to using jQuery for simplifying JavaScript programming, handling events, and creating interactive web pages.
