IBM
- 8+ years experience in Mainframe z/OS system programming.
- Experience with z/OS operating system and its components such as JES2, TSO/E, z/OS UNIX, SDSF, and Communications Server.
- Deep knowledge of Parallel SYSPLEX.
- Technical expertise in key z/OS subsystems and middleware (Db2, CICS, MQ, IMS). It includes hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, and day-to-day support.
- Led multiple complex IBM and ISV product upgrades and related projects.
- Expertise in system management tools like SMP/E (System Modification Program Extended) and z/OSMF.
- Experience with data security implementation and administration using RACF.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future system software requirements to meet the organization's needs.
- Learn quickly and independently, and motivated to research new information.
As a Mainframe z/OS System Programmer, you'll have the opportunity to shape the very foundation of the technology that drives our world. Your work will involve managing the mainframe hardware configuration, installing, customizing, testing, and maintaining the z/OS operating system and its subsystems such as CICS, Db2, WMQ, and IMS. You'll be a master troubleshooter and problem-solver, with the skills to fix even the most complex issues that arise.
- Monitoring system performance using RMF, SMF, TMON or Omegamon tools, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimization strategies.
- Knowledge of IBM Netview and System Automation.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Cloud, API Development, DevOps/MLOps Tools and AI/ML.
- Knowledge of analytics platforms such as Opensearch.
- Knowledge of mainframe hardware configurations and I/O management.
- Assessing system capacity needs and planning for future growth.
