SAP FI/CO consultant responsible for providing expertise in implementing, configuring, and maintaining SAP FI/CO modules to optimize financial processes of client.
Job involves understanding the client’s financial requirements, analyzing existing systems, and recommending solutions using SAP FI modules such as GL/Asset/Account payables/ Account receivables etc.
Individual needs to collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, design solutions, customize configurations and conduct testing.
Must be located on-site at IBM office in Bedford, Nova Scotia

General Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in financial accounting, management accounting and / or financial performance management
- Strong leadership qualifications and experience
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; confident and credible working with VP level clients (senior positions).
- Manage and lead the on-site and off-site Finance Support Teams
- Provide status updates on operational activities, incidents, service requests and minor enhancements
- Monitor and manage team activities and provide action plans
- Perform problem management tasks and communicate escalation procedures
- Create a sense of community among peers
- Understand the existing skill set versus the client's requirements and develop a training strategy
- Assist team members with highly complex and diversified issues
- Harvest reusable assets
- Contribute to the incremental revenue by identifying additional opportunities and assisting in proposal development
SAP Skills
- Strong Financial configuration skills in SAP versions ECC6 and S/4 HANA. Preferred applicants will hold an active certification
- Experience with the integration points between FICO and other modules
- Knowledge of "best practices" built into the SAP software
- Knowledge of SOX compliance parameters would be an asset
- Experience using the ASAP implementation methodology
- Knowledge in Inventory Costing
- Knowledge in Treasury Consultant
*Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Minimum 3 years SAP experience with FI and/or CO
*Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Minimum 5 years SAP implementation project experience with FI and/or CO
- Eligible or have in hand - Enhanced Security Clearance
The required services may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop and document SAP functional, business and/or system requirements specifications;
Develop and document screen, report and interface requirements in SAP;
Develop functional, business and/or system interface or interaction capability as per specifications/requirements;
Gather and analyze information to establish the functional and technical needs of a system or project;
Design methods and procedures for SAP modules that are integrated within an SAP solution;
Develop, test, document and implement changes to SAP modules that are integrated within an SAP solution;
Nice to have skills:
Document forms, manuals, programs, interfaces, release notes, data files work instructions and procedures;
Analyze data conversion requirements to determine data conversion strategies and mechanisms based on strategy;
Analyze, document SAP Service Marketplace Support Portal notes in support of problem and change analysis;
Assist Business Analyst in the conduct of business and system requirements workshops;
Provide knowledge transfer to departmental personnel on an on-going basis.
