Your role and responsibilities

As an IBM Planning Analytics Architect, you would be responsible for

• Manage all aspects of TM1 and Planning analytics work (both structured and unstructured) from business requirements to logical and physical design in an IT solution

• Translate business requirements into logical and physical TM1 model, analyse data across data sources to support requirements, identify integration and security requirements and support building the data architecture for the project

• Perform Tech & business analysis of data & business rules, consolidation, cleansing & harmonization of enterprise TM1 models in support of application integration

Design TM1 cubes to ensure data parity across multiple systems

• Change/Update TM1 and Planning analytics application in line with the user/product owner requirements

• Create Unit test cases & ensure unit testing is done properly.

• Collaborate with Data team to make sure the data is available before the start of the development

• Address the production defects on time.

• Create Low level design documentation from the High-level requirement from the business team.

• Design and development of Cognos processes using TM1/PA against various data sources

• Handling Technical issues, Involve in Code reviews and mentor the team members.

• Experience in development, implementation with solid experience in IBM Cognos TM1.

• Should have experience in installation/upgradation/migration of TM1/PA

• Should have knowledge on Data warehousing concepts, ETL concepts and PL/SQL

• Thorough understanding of Cognos TM1 and Planning Analytics and use of REST API

• Can handle PA administration tasks like creating data source connections, security aspects and server maintenance

• Good Experience, exposure on Agile Methodologies, Process.

• Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and ability to display analytical thinking for problem solving

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Understand TM1 & Planning Analytics (relational and multidimensional) architecture

• Perform data discovery/quality analysis and architect a solution in TM1 based upon customer requirements using a typical Business Intelligence architecture

• Perform or guide team to perform key architectural and development tasks for TM1 and Planning Analytics solution

• Develop the value proposition & working with strategic partners to illuminate these solutions.

• Design Planning analytics environment that both address the user's requirements and perform efficiently/effectively
