Introduction

The Asia Pacific Onboarding manager has responsibilities for leading the Onboaridng team in the Bangalore Delivery Center. This includes people management responsibilities and key deliverables in areas of process transformation execution, program implementation, key stakeholder management. They should coach and enable the team to enhance skills, create an environment encouraging creativity and innovation and foster a culture of inclusion and diversity.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Onboarding Manager for Asia Pacific region you will oversees the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the onboarding experience for new hires. This role ensures alignment with organizational goals, drives standardization across regions, manages the onboarding team, and ensures a seamless, engaging, and compliant transition for every new employee.

1. Strategic Planning & Program Management

  • Standardize onboarding processes across regions or business units.
  • Align onboarding practices with business goals, company culture.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track onboarding success metrics such as completion rates, feedback scores, and retention.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and new hires.

2. Team Leadership & Operations Management

  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Onboarding Specialists.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to manage onboarding volume across multiple locations.
  • Conduct regular team reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and process adherence.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer-centricity within the team.

3. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Payroll, IT, and Facilities to ensure readiness for every new hire.
  • Liaise with external vendors when required.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for leadership on all onboarding-related updates and escalations.

4. Process Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure onboarding documentation, verification, and processes comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Drive process automation and digital transformation to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain data integrity across HR systems and onboarding platforms.
  • Audit onboarding activities periodically to ensure consistency and quality.

5. Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Design and deliver a positive and memorable new hire experience.
  • Monitor and act on onboarding survey results to continuously improve experience.

6. Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain onboarding dashboards for leadership review.
  • Present insights and recommendations to HR leadership for strategic decisions.

7. Change Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage onboarding transitions during acquisition deals.
  • Lead pilot projects to test new onboarding technology deployments.
  • Encourage innovation and feedback-driven improvements within the team.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability.
  • Deep understanding of HR operations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and onboarding tools ( SucessFactors, Service now).
  • Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making.
  • Empathy, customer orientation, and adaptability.
