Leads the design and governance of enterprise Master Data Management using SAP MDG. Defines the data architecture, governance workflows, and harmonization strategy to ensure consistency across ERP and reporting systems. Key Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end SAP MDG solution design for Finance, Vendor, Customer, and Material domains.
Define governance frameworks, workflows, validations, and data ownership models.
Lead workshops with business and IT for data harmonization and policy design.
Integrate MDG with S/4HANA, CFIN, BW/4HANA, and external systems.
Establish data quality metrics, cleansing approaches, and audit processes.
Partner with data governance councils and data stewards for sustainable governance.
10+ years of experience in SAP data management or governance.
Minimum 3 full-cycle MDG implementations (Finance, BP, Material).
Strong stakeholder and governance leadership skills.
Experience in defining global data standards and workflows.
Expertise in SAP MDG (on S/4 or ECC) – data models, change requests, BRF+, workflow.
Familiarity with SLT, Data Services, and integration via SOA or APIs.
Knowledge of data replication and synchronization between SAP and non-SAP systems.
Experience establishing Data Governance Offices (DGO) or CoEs.
Exposure to enterprise data management tools (e.g., SAP Information Steward, Itego, Collibra, IBM Infosphere, SAB BW, Informatica...etc).
Knowledge of SAP MDG-F, SAP MDG-BP integration with Ariba, Fieldglass, or SuccessFactors.
Understanding of SAP Data Intelligence for data lineage and profiling.
