Your role and responsibilities

As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for helping establish and drive design for some of our core products, including our internal design system, Helios. You should enjoy taking complex problems and delivering simple and intuitive solutions to a technical customer. This is an exciting opportunity as you will be a critical member of the team, working directly with the Head of Design laying the foundation for both the processes and systems.

What you will do:

Work directly with executive leadership to ship world-class experiences to our customers
Ensure you have a good understanding of the problem space before jumping into the solution
Lead the end-to-end design process of major features, while keeping them coherent with the design language we define as a team
Partner closely with product, engineering, and our customers, proposing a solution, seeking feedback, and iterating
Help define and promote design across the entire company: proactively identify the highest-impact areas for contribution to our design processes and strategy

Required technical and professional expertise

Designing and shipping digital products to technical customers in the developer tool space or B2B/Enterprise
Experience or understanding of AI/ML and its use in applications
Deep knowledge of the product development process, from product thinking to visual and interaction design
A portfolio showcasing your best work that demonstrates your ability to produce and ship thoughtful user experiences
Motivated self-starter who will work closely with cross-functional partners in product and engineering
A growth mentality with a desire to own problems and results, with an ability to thrive and define a path in ambiguity
Strong communication skills, working well both asynchronously and in real-time
An eagerness to work in a startup environment, where the pace of delivery and change is rapid
A refined visual design eye and a love for high-quality design

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
