We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance (QE) Engineer to join our IBM Software team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of our products working in a variety of cloud native environments.

Your role and responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to participate in the skupper.io open source community and to add value and enhance the experience of users bringing applications to a range of hybrid multicloud environments.

As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional software experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and implementation of innovative features, fine-tuning and sustaining existing code for optimal performance, and guaranteeing top-notch quality through rigorous testing and debugging. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and you’ll be working closely with the upstream community and fellow developers to ensure our software aligns seamlessly with user expectations.

quired Experience:

Software QE Expertise:

Strong background in Quality Assurance/Software testing with a strong focus on automation. Experience with programming languages such as Golang, Python and test/automation frameworks such as Ansible, Jenkins, Ginkgo, pytest, Gherkin, etc.

Cloud Environment Testing:

Experience with testing applications and infrastructure across different public and private cloud environments including containerization technologies, Kubernetes and cloud platforms (e.g. Podman, Docker, OpenShift, IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure,GCP)

Networking Knowledge:

Proficiency in network protocols and solid understanding of networking concepts in cloud and container environments

Excellent Problem-Solving Skills:

Demonstrated excellence in problem-solving, with the ability to tackle complex issues and find effective solutions.

Collaborative Team Player:

Ability to work seamlessly as part of a team, contributing to collective goals and fostering a collaborative work environment.
