You will work in a global team of experts developing IBM Z Firmware for systems management. This is an area where we focus on continuous improvements. What is essential for us in IBM Z, is delivery of excellent code quality. Everyone contributes to this goal, be it with doing peer reviews, writing unit tests, or focusing on continuous integration and testing.

As a Firmware developer, you will be responsible for the complete development cycle, and you will own design and development for Systems Management functionality. Within this area, you will find Firmware components in a more “classical” style, but also containers and microservices, as well as REST and RPC APIs. By using object-oriented programming languages, e.g. C++ or Java, you will be able to provide solutions for challenging development tasks.
