Your role and responsibilities

As a Procurement Specialist prime responsibility is to procure basic goods and services, obtain quotation, vendor on-boarding and management, end to end procurement operations, contracting knowledge a must have to evaluate risks and adhere to Client requirements.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact, convey, convince, and understand based on situational requirements.
* Positive attitude, strong planning abilities, curiosity, and self-discipline.
* Willingness to work across all time zones for a global client.
* Review requisition requirements thoroughly.
* Identify Non-Catalog Purchases and redirect to Catalog Solutions when applicable.
* Collaborate with requesters/clients to gather additional information or clarify queries.
* Procure low-dollar value services, including source identification when needed.
* Negotiate cost savings and favorable terms for non-contracted sources.
* Confirm pricing and delivery timelines with suppliers.
* Understand and interpret contract relationships and details.
* Complete customer requests for setting up new suppliers, ensuring all required information is provided.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier documentation.
* Ensure adherence to all client-specific procurement processes and procedures.
* Maintain audit readiness for all purchasing documents.
* Demonstrate working knowledge of ERP tools supporting procurement activities.
* Proficient in MS Excel for maintaining account-specific reports and team trackers.
* Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and management to meet procurement goals.

Required technical and professional expertise

1. Basic Understanding of Procurement Principles
2. Familiarity with the procurement process: request for quotation (RFQ), purchase orders, and supplier selection.
3. Awareness of the role procurement plays in supply chain and business operations.
4. Ability to clearly and professionally communicate with suppliers and internal teams (e.g., via email, meetings).
5. Good listening skills to understand procurement needs and supplier responses.
6. Attention to detail when handling pricing, terms, and supplier data.
7. Willingness to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, logistics).
8. Understanding the importance of fairness, transparency, and confidentiality in procurement.
9. Microsoft Office Proficiency - Excel: sorting data, using basic formulas (SUM, VLOOKUP), creating tables.
10. Familiarity with ERP/Procurement Systems (Even basic exposure is a plus)
11. Willingness and ability to learn procurement systems quickly.
12. Knowledge of Procurement Terminology - Basic terms like RFQ, RFP, PO, invoice, lead time,T&C (Terms & Conditions).

Preferred technical and professional experience

1. Familiarity with ERP/Procurement Systems (Even basic exposure is a plus)
2. Willingness and ability to learn procurement systems quickly.
3. Knowledge of Procurement Terminology - Basic terms like RFQ, RFP, PO, invoice, lead time, T&C (Terms & Conditions).
