Transportation and Transit solutions are a large growth area for the industry given market demand focused on these areas.
This role brings industry subject matter expertise in Transportation with a focus on Department of Motor Vehicles, Highway, Tolling, Digital Credentials and Electronic Vehicle Infrastructure. This role would be responsible for identification of Transportation Industry specific offerings and focus areas and constructs partnerships between clients, team IBM, vendors, and subcontractor organizations and manage the implementation of these partnerships to address business opportunities for IBM Consulting. This individual will have equally balanced skills in five key general management areas of client relationship management, consultative selling, financial and business management, portfolio and program management and team and people management.
This individual would be the primary focal point and owner for all IBM Consulting activities across Transportation Industry and accountable for meeting revenue, profit, and growth objectives and for improving overall customer satisfaction targets. Responsible to build and maintain strong client relationships at all levels with the objective of being a trusted business advisor. Proactively work with Lead Client Partners and their clients to understand identify their business objectives, priorities and directions, critical success factors and applies this knowledge to establish and implement a Transportation Market Strategy. They translate customer requirements into formal agreements, establishing specific solutions, and leading the efforts that culminate in client acceptance of the results.
This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.
· 5+ years experience in Transportations Industry
· MBA / Business Degree preferred
· Executive Presence (Communication / Presence / Knowledge of IBM Business Skills)
· Market Development experience / background
· Has client first focus to create client intimacy / essentialism
· To lead demand generation engine and delivery execution across service lines
· Multi-government agency focus and experience
· Has experience in state, city and county projects
