An Associate Technology Seller's mission in IBM is to accelerate the adoption of IBM technology with clear use-cases and expertise to ensure competitive differentiation in engagements directly with clients, IBM account teams, and through our sales ecosystem partners. Your primary focus will be on prospecting and establishing new executive level relationships in accounts. You will leverage a variety of prospecting techniques, including digital tools, social media, networking events, and cold outreach, to generate leads and drive sales of both our software and hardware solutions.
With executive-level presence, you'll earn client's trust and respect to become their strategic technology partner. Using the knowledge of your clients' business and industry you'll identify and prioritize opportunity areas that will improve their business performance.
Being highly skilled in building and nurturing strategic client relationships, you'll use your consultative style to drive the adoption and penetration of IBM's platforms through innovative solution recommendations that leverage IBM technologies, architectures, industry content, and offerings.

With first-class communication and empathy, you'll work closely with clients to develop reliable relationships that successfully accelerate the adoption of IBM technology. You'll explain how IBM's industry leading solutions unlock the true potential of cloud and AI in their enterprises and build smarter businesses.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
· Prospecting and Lead Generation: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through various prospecting methods such as social media outreach, networking, email, cold calling, and leveraging IBM & industry events.
· Account Penetration: Develop and execute strategies to break into accounts with limited or no existing relationships, building a strong pipeline of potential opportunities.
· Relationship Building: Ability to build valuable relationships with key client stakeholders.
· Addressing Clients' Business Needs: Proven ability to address clients' business needs using deep technology and industry insights.
· Effective Communication: Impeccable communication skills, with the ability to successfully articulate a client journey map for disruptive innovation based on first-hand experiences, best practices, and market trends.
· Tech Sales Success: Demonstrated success in technology sales, particularly in acquiring new clients. Knowledge selling in the Automation, Data, AI and Storage space.
· Prospecting Skills: Demonstrated expertise in modern prospecting techniques, including social selling, email marketing, cold calling, and leveraging digital tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Salesforce).
· Business Acumen and Communication Skills: Possess strong business acumen and effective communication skills.
· Engaging, Compelling, and Influential Communication: Ability to communicate in an engaging, compelling, and influential manner.
· Product and Service Proficiency: Experience working with IBM's products and services (training across IBM's product suite will be provided).
