Consulting EMEA+UKI L&K Learning Deployment Manager Team Overview

The Learning Deployment Manager team is responsible for executing the Consulting Learning & Knowledge Quarterly plan for Consulting practitioners throughout EMEA+UKI, supporting L&K to achieve it's education targets and the Consulting business results. LDM’s need to manage and work within the IBM and L&K Education Delivery processes, ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering events using best practice processes.

We support the following types of education:

  • L&K Classroom and virtual education

· External Vendor Training (group requests only).

EMEA+UKI L&K Learning Deployment Manager own the deployment of Learning Events for Consulting employees throughout Europe, via the execution of a quarterly plan.

Each Learning Deployment Manager is aligned to a specific business portfolio and has responsibility for coordinating with other teams/contacts to ensure optimization of capacity and resources.

Learning Deployment Manager develop and manage relationships with business stakeholders, Learning Consultants, tutors, Event Managers, learners and others involved in executing the successful delivery of a learning event.

Your role and responsibilities

Purpose of the Position:

· Learning Deployment Managers are responsible for the deployment of quarterly Learning Plan for Consulting practitioners in EMEA+UKI.

· Each Learning Deployment Manager is aligned to a specific business portfolio and has responsibility for coordinating with others in the business who manage education planning for the business portfolio. (Such as Learning Consultant (LC)).

· Learning Deployment Manager develop and manage relationships with business stakeholders, tutors, event managers and learners and others involved in executing the successful delivery of a learning event.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

· Manage education delivery across Europe in all curricula working with LC’s, and Event Managers (EM’s) within L&K plus stakeholders within GBS and other parts of IBM

· Own the deployment of Events to budget by working with Stakeholders, managing nominations (to achieve maximum capacity where possible for each event), collaboration with tutors and the preparation and management of event budget plans and communicate changes in a timely manner

· Achieve Learning Deployment Manager objectives as agreed upon with the L&K Learning Deployment Manager Functional Team Leader

· Provide high level data quality assurance

· Provide continuous format/ways of working improvements with contributions to the team best practices

· Support event issue resolution

· Support/attend Large Events e.g. Learning Weeks/University Events, Senior Partner Events, Bootcamps where required

· Advising practitioners regarding education processes, policies, tools, content in selected alignment area

· Stakeholder management – setting ways of working, expectations, providing overview of event status, providing guidance/advice on best practises, policies and tools etc

· Engage and manage relationship with external training providers in compliance with IBM Procurement policies and rules

· Event evaluation analysis, quality assurance in selected alignment area

· Collaborating with LDM SME to provide process improvement suggestions, support/be part of SME projects and ensure working documents are current.

Skills and Experience

Work experience:

· Experience with budget/financial management

· Experience with project management

· Experience in systems & processes is essential

· Experience of working within international teams is desirable, including Virtual environment

· Willingness to work flexible hours

Technical know-how & qualifications (e.g. languages; PC skills):

· Fluent written and spoken English

· Interest and ability in the application of information technology

· Proficiency in MS Office programs

· Proficiency in Outlook applications is desirable

· Use of Box, Monday, Slack, MS Teams

· Broad understanding of Learning Deployment
