The Tools & Analytics team plays a pivotal role in this initiative by developing advanced observability and automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency, accelerate incident response, and support proactive, data-driven decision-making.

Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer to contribute to the expansion of our capabilities in designing and building robust data pipelines, Data Analytics, APIs, and integration frameworks. These solutions will interconnect monitoring platforms, telemetry systems, and analytics tools. This is a hands-on engineering role that requires a blend of software development expertise, systems integration knowledge, and large-scale problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for transforming operational data into actionable intelligence and be enthusiastic about leveraging modern technologies in the areas of automation, observability, and AIOps.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development

  • Design and develop scalable services and APIs to ingest, transform, and visualize data from multiple network and infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Contribute to building and evolving the AIOps data ingestion pipeline and toolchain.

Integration and Automation

  • Build integrations and automation using low code solutions between SevOne, Netcool, ServiceNow, and other telemetry and incident management platforms.
  • Enable capabilities like automated remediation, intelligent alerting, and impact analysis through custom solutions.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with platform teams, network engineers, SREs, Architects to identify insights and improve operational workflows.

Solution Development and Maintenance

  • Ensure solutions are performant, secure, and aligned with internal platform standards.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing across development and support teams.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends in AIOps, observability, and infrastructure analytics.
  • Participate in code reviews, agile development processes, and continuous improvement of toolsets.
  • Develop microservices, REST APIs, and data models to enable event correlation and enriched.

Required technical and professional expertise

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development and or systems integration.
  • Strong proficiency in multiple languages including languages used in target development tools Python (preferred), JavaScript, Node.js. etc.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), design patterns, and testing methodologies.

Domain Knowledge:

  • Understanding of observability stacks and tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Splunk).
  • Experience working with network and application monitoring tools such as SevOne, Netcool, AppDynamics etc.
  • Familiarity with automation platforms like Ansible, RIA (Formerly Pliant), Terraform.
  • Understanding of ITSM platforms like ServiceNow and integration best practices.
  • Ability to analyze data using statistical methods and reporting tools to identify trends, insights, patterns.
  • Hands-on experience building APIs, microservices, and integrating third-party platforms.
  • Experience in handling database management and version control systems.
  • Proficiency with RESTful APIs and event-driven systems (Kafka, Webhooks, etc.).
  • Ability to assess the functionality of existing software applications, debug issues, and test solutions to ensure seamless operations.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles and Networking Technologies.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux-based environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Exposure to AIOps platforms and related architectures.
  • Experience with SNMP, Syslog, IPFIX, and telemetry collection protocols.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud).
  • Knowledge of data visualization libraries and frameworks (e.g. React, D3.js).
  • Understanding of network infrastructure concepts and event correlation techniques.
