In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Job Description

IBM is seeking a seasoned Content Designer with a robust background in the financial services industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in crafting clear, concise, and compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences within the financial sector. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop content strategies that align with IBM's marketing objectives and financial services client requirements.

  • Develop Content Strategies: Create tailored strategies for IBM's financial services clients, aligning with IBM's brand voice and incorporating SEO.
  • Create Engaging Content: Produce a variety of content types, simplifying complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Translate Content: Collaborate with designers/developers to adapt content into various formats, maintaining industry-specific terminology.
  • Stay Updated: Monitor financial services trends and regulatory changes, tailoring content accordingly.
  • Conduct Research & Audits: Understand user needs, preferences, and regulations to guide content creation and improvement.
  • Manage Content: Oversee updates and revisions across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and resonate with the target audience.
  • Lead Projects & Manage Expectations: Guide design projects from conception to completion, communicating progress and risks to stakeholders.
  • Tools Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in content design tools (Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD) and content management systems.
  • Strong Writing & Editing Skills: Exhibit robust writing, editing, and curating abilities.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Content Management Systems (CMS) Proficiency: Demonstrate experience with content management systems such as Drupal or WordPress, ensuring seamless content updates and maintenance.
  • Front-End Development Knowledge: Possess a basic understanding of HTML and CSS, facilitating better collaboration with developers and ensuring content displays optimally across digital platforms.
  • Localisation & Internationalisation Familiarity: Understand localisation and internationalisation principles, enabling the creation of content that resonates with global audiences while considering cultural nuances and language differences.
  • Information Architecture & Content Strategy Background: Bring experience in information architecture or content strategy to organise and structure content effectively, improving user experience and discoverability.
  • Content Analytics & Usability Testing Experience: Have a background in content analytics and usability testing, leveraging data to optimise content performance and ensuring user-centric design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
  • Professional content design or UX writing experience, preferably in financial services.
  • Robust portfolio showcasing content modeling, structuring, and varied content types, particularly from the financial services domain.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications (CFP, CFA, etc.) and agile development experience are desirable.
