Introduction

Within the F&P America Expense team we are responsible for overseeing and control spending performance to deliver goal aligned to Corporate strategy for IBM. Our job is to act as gatekeeper ensuring investment has the highest return while we support the over business performance to addres revenue, margin and cash objectives.
We work in collaboration with multiple organization acting a key partners in the overall success by providing insights and analysis for recommendation while advising our business leaders with key performance indicators of out performance.

While supporting the business operations we ensure that we operate within international and local relugations.

Your role and responsibilities

The role witin Finance & Planning is primarily responsible for but not limited to:

• Prepare and present budgets and forecasts for assigned business units, ensuring accuracy and alignment with key assumptions.
• Conduct financial analysis to provide insights on business drivers, budget monitoring, analysis for recommendations, and operational risks.
• Consolidate and report quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
• Maintain and improve financial reporting processes, KPIs, and spending benchmarks to drive efficiency.
• Support statutory and external reporting queries as needed.
• Assist in audits
• Ensure timely resolution of issues (problem solving) and adherence to accounting policies.
• Enhance budgeting, forecasting, and reporting methodologies through standardization and automation.
• Contribute to system improvements, data management, and financial process enhancements.
• Provide governance support, ensure operations are compliance with financial controls and corporate policies and instructions as well with accounting instructions.

Knowledge and Experience

• Good knowledge and understanding of the key components of the spending management.
• Proactivity, very good interpersonal relationship, good team player, sense of urgency.
• Innovation, ability to propose and take calculated risk and ability to solve problems.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities to meet deadlines. Work with multiple Functions within IBM.
• Financial systems and Analytical profile
  • Strong analytics profile. Good understanding on ledger and balance sheet.
  • Manage Cognos analytics, Enterprise Performance Management, Monday.com, HR tools, Inter-company billing tools, Accounts codes managment, SAP concur, among other required tools
  • Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Communication & presentation skills required as part of the job include presentation to Vice Presidents
• Fluent English, writing and speaking (current scope supporting United States, Canada and Latin America countries).
