We're looking for a seasoned SAP Basis Principal Consultant to lead our high-performance team and drive strategic SAP technology initiatives. This role demands a deep understanding of SAP architecture, extensive hands-on experience, and a proven track record of executing complex SAP projects.
1. SAP System Implementation and Upgrades: Lead the implementation and upgrade of SAP systems according to client specifications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
2. Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert level technical support and troubleshoot complex issues within the SAP Basis environment.
3. System Monitoring and Performance Optimisation: Monitor SAP systems to ensure peak performance, implement performance tuning, and conduct regular system health checks.
4. Security Management: Implement and manage SAP security settings and user administration, ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal regulations.
5. Backup and Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive data backup and recovery procedures, testing them regularly to ensure they meet the required service levels.
6. Project Leadership and Mentoring: Lead smaller SAP Basis projects, providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
7. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Maintain up-to-date documentation of all SAP systems, processes, and configurations. Conduct effective knowledge transfer to end-users and other IT teams.
8. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, understanding their needs and translating these into technical requirements. Regularly update stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
