What does Bachelor@IBM offer you?
Within the scope of the 3-4 year Bachelor@IBM program, we offer valuable professional experience in the area of a sales department, which you will gain in parallel to your studies. You can complete the bachelor study course at a university (or university of applied sciences) of your choice. The duration of studies depends on the respective university and is between three and four years. The volume of work allows you to focus sufficiently on your bachelor's degree. Nevertheless, you can expect challenging assignments in a team-oriented and dynamic environment as well as many opportunities for active co-determination. You will also write your bachelor's thesis in collaboration with your department.

For our in-job bachelor's program, we are looking for a highly motivated student who are planning to enroll or are already enrolled in a bachelor study pursuing a degree in Information Technology or Management. If you enjoy working in a team, are solution-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and most importantly, are eager to be challenged and learn something new every day, we look forward to receiving your application. Preferred work start date is May 2025.

As an IBM Junior Sales representative, this position offers a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career with a leading innovator like IBM. You’ll have the chance to actively learn and engage in an enterprise environment, collaborating with large Swiss and international clients. In this role, you will actively support the IBM Sales and Tech Sales Teams with on various initiatives – primarily in the Software domain. Working closely with our Sales and Technical Specialists, you’ll contribute to the work we do for clients in the IBM enterprise computing environment. This includes working with large, existing enterprises and potentially new clients. You will gain valuable experience in sales for Software and have the opportunity to engage in technical tasks – e.g. in Data, AI, or Dev/Ops.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and build meaningful relationships. You will be part of a highly motivated team embedded in a company with an excellent product and solutions portfolio which is leading edge in the market. As an international company we rapidly reach beyond our borders and collaborate closely with developments teams across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:
• Marketing support to grow our enterprise computing business with clients
• Assist the software team with go-to-market strategies
• Receive in-depth training on specific solutions to effectively communicate and assist clients
• Work on business cases to attract new clients
• Support the sales team with process optimization

What you bring:
• A deep passion for technology and innovative software solutions, particularly in AI and data science and a huge personal interest on mainframe technology
• Self-motivated and independence, with a strong ability to solve problems and embrace new challenges
• Excellent communication, presentation, teamwork and customer-oriented skills
• Passionate about new technologies in the field of Data & AI DevOps, Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity and how they can provide business value to clients
• A sales driven mindset and the drive to build compelling value propositions for clients
• Positive, open attitude – Will to learn and act
• Strong English skills, preferably also German and/or French/Italian

This job is only for candidates who are planning to enroll or are already enrolled in a bachelor study and and have at least 2 years of study remaining (at a Swiss university/university of applied sciences, study course of your choice).
