Your role and responsibilities

You will be working in an open organization, where we constantly seek and apply ways how to create value working in an enterprise delivering value to customers, using open-source technology.

You will be a product Software Developer working on IBM Cloud service, IBM’s hybrid cloud solution.

You will be a key member of IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service development team, working across time-zones to create the best user experience for our Customers.

You will join the team that develops the business logic, orchestration engine, and k8s life-cycle management of our native microservices.

As You will be developing our k8s service itself, You will be programming in Go language. The role includes coding, testing, and supporting the own-developed service in production.

Required technical and professional expertise

You need to have, or one the way to obtain, BsC/MsC in Computer Sciences or equal, so we can speak the same language and rely on Your fundamentals.

You need to have understanding and some experience in Object-Oriented design principles, developed service or product.

You need to be ready, that our developed service is based on native Kubernetes, and daily work will be creating functionality that is written in Golang. Some python, bash scripting included, to automate and integrate with CI/CD systems.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Experience using Docker to build and run applications, using Kubernetes as an orchestration system will just make Your life easier

Experience with CI/CD frameworks including Jenkins, Travis CI or managing Your code life cycle in Git will make You ready to start on day 1.
