As a Partner Technical Specialist your purpose is to influence your partners' technical strategies, working to incorporate and embed IBM's technology portfolio into Partner's reference architectures, practices, and solutions versus competition.
As a deeply technical seller, you'll increase your partners' technical capabilities by enabling their sales and technical sellers to experientially demonstrate IBM Technology at scale with your clients.

With the primary goal of expanding the capability and capacity of the overall Ecosystem, and depending on the market and /or partner growth opportunity, you'll cover all or a combination of IBM's 'Build', 'Sell' and 'Service' opportunities,
Part technical consultant, you'll build trust, understand the value of our partners' offerings, and co-create solutions that demonstrate the value of our relationship. All-the-while building confidence that motivates partners to include IBM solutions at the heart of their client proposals.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Facilitation of Pre-Sales Technical Activities: Facilitate pre-sales, experiential technical activities such as technology demonstrations and co-creation working sessions that lead to proofs of concept (PoC) and/or minimal viable products (MVPs).
Leadership in Building Technical Skills: Lead the delivery of joint-learning activities to build technical skills and expertise of partners, enabling co-selling opportunities.
Continuous Knowledge Expansion: Continuously expand essential business, industry, technology, architecture, and competitive knowledge in Kubernetes, Red Hat, Docker, Cloud Foundry, Cloud Native Security, and Infrastructure.
As a Platform Engineer within IBM Cloud Platform, you'll play a key role in delivering unique experiences to the customers in helping them to understand the crucial components for adopting the IBM Cloud Platform. The mandatory professional experience and knowledge are:
a. To deeply understand key concepts of IT infrastructure management such as: data processing, networking, storage, virtualization, containers, monitoring and cloud security.
b. To identify differences, benefits and arguments to adopt different Cloud models: Infrasctructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, Software as a Service from some key providers in the market: IBM Cloud, Google Cloud, AWS or Azure.
c. To engage in conversations related to hybrid IT architecture, considering: networking options to connect to a cloud model, disaster recory on cloud,
d. To discuss key architectural components to migrate infrastructure and applications from OnPremise to Cloud model: integration issues, portability, data structures, security.
e. To understand local laws and regulation, industry frameworks best practices related to Cloud Computing.
f. To explain a real business case where Cloud Computing was the core of the solution or architecurte that the candidate took part of, and participation in sales cycle.
g. To understand metrics of usage and concepts related to quality of service in cloud models: Service Level Agreements, Operational Key Results, Operational Level Agreements.
· To have experience with some IBM Systems (IBM Power or IBM Storage) solutions, so as IBM Cloud offerings.
· Understanding of SAP RISE and Cloud model.
· Cloud Platform certification by IBM, Google, AWS, Azure, such as: Cloud Digital Leader, Associate Cloud Engineer, CISCO CCNA.
· Technical experience in a cloud-related domain such as Data/Analytics, Data Science, Security, or other cloud-native, hybrid, or public-cloud technology.
· Experience working in dynamic team environments and cross-functionally with teams such as Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
