Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Engineer with CCIE certification to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with enterprise-level networking and a strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Your role and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Design and Implementation:

   • Design and implement highly scalable, secure, and reliable network solutions based on business needs.
   • Plan, configure, and deploy enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, data centers, and cloud environments.

2. Network Management and Optimization:

   • Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and low latency.
   • Implement and manage Quality of Service (QoS) for critical applications.
   • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure system health and compliance.

3. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:

   • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
   • Act as a Tier 3 escalation point for critical incidents and outages.

4. Standby and On-Call Duties:

   • Participate in standby rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical network issues.
   • Respond to after-hours incidents, ensuring rapid resolution to minimize downtime.
   • Proactively communicate updates and resolutions to stakeholders during standby periods.

5. Security and Compliance:

   • Design and implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
   • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational security policies.

6. Team Collaboration and Mentorship:

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, security, and application teams.
   • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to enhance team capabilities.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and incident reports.
   • Prepare reports on network performance and recommend improvements.

Required technical and professional expertise

Required Qualifications:

• CCIE Certification (Active status preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering roles, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise-grade network devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with network security tools (e.g., Cisco ISE, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, F5, or similiar) and technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and SD-WAN solutions.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data center networking technologies (e.g., ACI, Nexus).
• Knowledge of network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, or similar).
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and frameworks.
• Experience in managing large-scale enterprise or service provider networks.
