In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering our own platform that Apptio operates on, with a variety of exciting and challenging features. For example, our work includes interaction with various teams within the company to deliver applications and systems that help our growth and automate processes such as authentication, authorization, provisioning and delivering shared components used by other engineering teams.
The right candidate will be a solid Java engineer that collaborate exceptionally, have a knack for delivering improved processes that support automation and demand a high-performance environment.

We are a high-performing cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers working on delivering elegant solutions to complex business problems, and we have a proven track record of delivering successful applications providing the platform and shared services to other IBM teams supporting a wide range of products, working with external and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
You will work with your scrum team to deliver impactful and valuable features bi-weekly. You will personally own end-to-end features from concept to design to production, and partner with product managers, other engineers, and other teams to achieve high-quality solutions.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Passion for delivering enterprise-level software with expertise in Go and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP services (compute, storage, databases).
- Strong understanding of complex data models, business rules, and SDLC best practices (CI/CD, automated testing).
- Collaborative team player with effective communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.
- Proven experience in delivering commercial software, including product and release lifecycle management.
- Fluent English language skills.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Technical leadership experience in building scalable and complex software systems.
- Proficiency in modern application architecture, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
- Open to working with various technologies (e.g., Typescript, Java, React.js, Kubernetes, Docker).
