Your Role and Responsibilities The IBM Cloud CoE is a value-add service for IBM Cloud Premium Support customers with the mission of pro-active Day 2 advisory for long-term (operate and manage) success on IBM Cloud. IBM Cloud CoE Advisory Architects are experienced and highly motivated individuals with a passion to advise strategic customers on their IBM Cloud strategy and build mind-share with a broad set of talent across IBM Cloud Support.
Key Responsibilities
- Willingness to take on client leadership activities as a technical advisor, offering strategic insights and recommendations on IBM cloud architectures and best practices.
- Lead client workshops, assessments, and enablement, identifying opportunities for adopting best practices and early risk mitigation.
- Evaluate and recommend options to optimize IBM Cloud estate to meet evolving customer needs (performance, operations, resiliency, etc)
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential issues in cloud deployments.
- Collaborate with IBM Technical Account Management and Strategic Client teams to evolve architecture based on IBM Cloud best practices and value plays
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the worldwide IBM Cloud Support solution architect community
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments of IBM Cloud technologies to provide leading best practices to our premium support customers
- Provide thought leadership on solutions that benefit customers; this can take the form of contribution to internal and external publications such as IBM Cloud Bog, Whitepapers and Reference architectures, as well as internal training of Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, and Advanced Customer Support
- Partner with sales, client success management, and IBM Cloud Leadership teams to highlight insights and transition opportunities
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years focused on cloud technologies and solutions.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, including multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies
- Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments, with experience in automation tools, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- IBM Certified Solution Architect
- Native level Japanese language proficiency
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Additional certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are a plus.
