Introduction
Uncover and transform insights into creative experiences that matter to your customers. Make every touchpoint an opportunity to engage. As a Marketing Professional at IBM, you will create stories that cut through noise and have an impact on your audience. IBM is trailblazing the Agile Marketing approach, allowing you to work with speed, adaptability and creativity to uncover insights and deliver experiences that matter to your customers.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Start and end dates for this internship are during Summer 2025.

At IBM, we believe technology shapes the world, and we are a catalyst for innovation and creativity. We are at the forefront of groundbreaking change – improving businesses, society, and the human condition. As a leader in Hybrid Cloud and AI, we are leading the charge in a worldwide digital transformation.

Our Marketing, Communications & Corporate Social Responsibility (MCC) team tells this story and is responsible for positioning IBM in the market. We define and optimize IBM’s brand, capture the market’s attention, and articulate our point of view for clients, partners, the media, and even other IBMers. As part of our team, you’ll be surrounded by bright minds and keen collaborators – always willing to help and be helped – as you apply passion to work that will compel our audience to choose IBM’s products and services.

When you join IBM, you join a culture of openness, collaboration, and trust. You join a team of IBMers who are helping technology support a positive global transformation. So join us and experience a place where you can co-create your learning and opportunities. A place where teamwork and unique ideas are treasured. A place where you can bring innovation to life.

As an IBM Marketing Intern, you’ll work collaboratively, driving work that addresses a strategic business challenge facing our team: helping to turn our vast collection of content into an easily understandable system that supports our visitors’ key needs. In addition to your daily work, the internship includes educational, networking, and social activities. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer.

This role supports our internal creative team, Blue Studio, which is responsible for the strategic evolution and expression of the IBM brand across every experience and encounter, internally and externally. Our work crosses nearly every category of output: research and strategy, communications and content development, symbology and systems, digital and physical experiences, and tools and training. Our goal is to maintain modernity, sophistication, and tangibility, and to promote understanding of the IBM brand in the world.
In the Blue Studio, your words matter. In the Content Practice, you’ll become part of a creative, collaborative team, partnering with world-class strategists, designers, producers and creative directors to tell compelling stories about the technologies changing our world and the people who put them to work. Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Distill complex messages into sharp headlines that stop traffic
  • Craft scripted dialogue and VO that can inspire, elevate and explain
  • Dive deeper into topics with blog posts, articles and other surround materials
  • Act as a steward of the brand to support vision and voice across every deliverable
  • Be the expert in the room, guiding projects with writing standards and best practices

This role is based in Austin, TX.

IBM will not be providing Visa sponsorship for these positions now or in the future. Therefore, to be considered for this position, you must have the ability to work without a need for current or future Visa sponsorship.
