Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking dynamic and hardworking engineers with a growth mindset to enable our teams and suppliers to deliver quality products. As a Supply Chain Engineer at IBM, you will be exposed to hardware design teams responsible for delivering leading edges Servers, Storage, AI & Quantum hardware solutions for IBM. You will join a team of Engineers that provides global technical support to IBM Research/Development/Manufacturing organizations. Roles in supply chain engineering at IBM will encompass product qualifications, manufacturing, environmental improvements, test, quality, field performance, and industry-wide technology improvements.
We are looking for individuals who want to:
• Be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for delivering technology solutions that enable IBM Hardware products to transition from the Development stage into a worldwide Manufacturing and Fulfillment Supply Chain.
• Provide technical expertise, and project management leadership to ensure that IBM hardware Qualification, Quality and Business schedules/objectives are met.
• Be a part of an inclusive and supportive work environment working with other IBM Product Engineers and IBM Research/Development/Manufacturing Engineers on leading edge technologies and source selection.
• Explore the possibilities of AI/AR, Robotics, 3D Printing, and Invention with emerging technologies to improve IBM’s supply chain.
• Seek out new and capable supplier partnerships to support product and business needs, driving industry best practices through technology roadmaps, leading audits, and guiding quality summits.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Excellent written/verbal communication skills along with excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
BS Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Experience in leading teams, resolving difficult technical and/or process problems
