Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Rochester Minnesota Finance & Operations organization is instrumental in driving innovative improvements to global financial processes providing measurable value to the business. We collaborate with cross-functional teams of our peers around the world. This is an office based position located at our Rochester, MN IBM office location.

The Finance internship experience is a tremendous hands-on opportunity providing exposure to corporate finance and the broader corporate structure. Students continue their learning experience furthering both technical and professional skills as they manage specific business deliverables with the opportunity to participate in impactful projects. Your responsibilities could include budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, resource allocation, tracking and reporting key financial metrics, and portfolio analysis. We look for people who enjoy collaboration with teammates, data analysis, and have a passion for the IT industry.

The 6 month Internship program is a full-time role for six months beginning either December 2024 -through June 2025 or May 2025 through January 2026. We require candidates hired for this program to commit to full 6 month employment term, as this may require you to take a semester off from school. We require candidates hired for this program to commit to employment for the full co-op term, this may require for you to take a semester off from school.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel / Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Currently pursuing a college degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other closely related degree programs


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Junior or Senior Business or Finance Bachelor’s Degree Candidate
