Your Role and Responsibilities
  • This role supports a product’s service structure and serviceability for Hardware and Firmware. Responsibilities include providing AI development support on problem determination/isolation and action plans to resolve client issues. The data science intern role may also provide technical changes to AI related to supporting critical client situation resolution. This role serves as the Field’s interface to Development for the identification and analysis of design, architecture, and process issues and for driving those issues to resolution.
  • Perform failure analysis on IBM Power Hardware CEC and FSP.
  • Remote Technical Support is from pre-product introduction, AI structured approach. This role may participate in AI software product development in the design phase to incorporate product support, diagnosis, and recovery capabilities.
As a member of the Intern in the Remote Technical Support teams, you will build and utilize your skills to directly support AI data and work closely with the Product Engineering team on complex issues to create software data resolution. Sometimes, no precedent requires you to create a resolution and education for future failures, including documentation of steps to resolve. Also accountable for department results, activities, and/or projects involving multi-functional teams. Regularly participates in overall functional program planning. Activities are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, and impact project costs or expenses.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and a strong programming or engineering background


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Pursuing a STEM or Information Technology related bachelor’s degree
