In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain UKG time management systems and their integration with SAP HR, Time, and Payroll.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve time data transfer issues, interface failures, and reconciliation gaps between UKG and SAP systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely transfer of employee time and attendance data into SAP to support accurate payroll processing and payroll inputs.
  • Analyze integration and data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Perform data reconciliation and validation between UKG, SAP Time, and SAP Payroll to identify and resolve discrepancies impacting payroll.
  • Support end-to-end time-to-payroll processes, ensuring that time data is correctly received, processed, validated, and made available for payroll execution.
  • Troubleshoot interface errors, data mapping issues, missing or duplicate records, failed transactions, and other integration-related defects.
  • Support system changes, releases, enhancements, and upgrades, including impact analysis, test planning, test execution, and validation of time and payroll integrations.
  • Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and validation test scenarios to ensure that system changes do not impact payroll-critical time data.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, UKG vendors, SAP teams, payroll operations, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve complex issues.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and technical teams to track defects, validate fixes, and ensure timely resolution within agreed SLAs.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for integration processes, issue resolution, reconciliation procedures, testing, and operational support.
  • Proactively identify recurring integration and data-quality issues and recommend process or technical improvements to improve system stability and payroll accuracy.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience supporting and maintaining UKG time and attendance solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Time Management and SAP Payroll, particularly the integration between time systems and payroll.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting time and payroll interfaces, including data transfer failures, mapping issues, missing records, and integration errors.
  • Strong understanding of time-to-payroll data flows and the impact of time data on payroll processing.
  • Strong expertise in data reconciliation, validation, and discrepancy analysis across UKG and SAP systems.
  • Experience supporting multi-country time and attendance environments, including varying business and time-management requirements across countries.
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently investigate and resolve production issues.
  • Experience working in SLA-driven production support environments and managing incidents through resolution.
  • Experience supporting system changes, releases, enhancements, and regression testing for time and payroll processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users, IT teams, payroll teams, and external vendors.
  • Ability to document issues, root causes, solutions, testing results, and integration processes clearly and effectively.
Preferred technical and professional experience

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with SAP middleware and integration technologies, including SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), SAP Process Integration/Process Orchestration (PI/PO), or SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Knowledge of API-based integrations, integration frameworks, web services, and REST/SOAP interfaces.
  • Experience troubleshooting middleware logs and monitoring integration flows.
  • Experience with automated reconciliation, monitoring, or reporting solutions for time and payroll interfaces.
  • Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and its integration with SAP Time/Payroll and UKG.
  • Experience supporting global HR transformation, payroll integration, or time-management implementation projects.
  • Experience working with large-scale, multi-country HR/payroll landscapes.
