In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Project Manager: SuccessFactors, you will lead SuccessFactors implementation projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring successful implementation of SuccessFactors solutions that meet business objectives. You will manage cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Manage Project Plans: Develop and execute project plans, resource allocation, and budget management to ensure successful project delivery.

• Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including SuccessFactors consultants, IT, and business stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify project scope, and define project deliverables that meet business objectives and customer needs.

• Ensure Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance and testing of SuccessFactors solutions to ensure they meet the required standards.

• Manage Vendor Relationships: Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure successful project delivery.

Project Execution & Delivery Ownership:

  • Project Tracking: Plan, schedule, and independently execute system maintenance projects, patch deployments, and functional configuration workstreams.
  • Sprint Facilitation: Lead daily standups, progress reviews, and technical working sessions to keep distributed delivery teams aligned.
  • Timeline Management: Maintain detailed project plans, manage critical-path dependencies, and proactively mitigate bottlenecks to ensure on-time release schedules.
  • Governance & Documentation: Own the documentation framework for tracking project decisions, action items, meeting outcomes, and technical change logs.
  • Resource Management: Plan the technical manpower resources required for workstreams and manage task allocation to meet project objectives.
  • Scope & Change Control: Ensure all scope changes are documented and that impact assessments are formally approved by stakeholders prior to implementation.
  • Functional Analysis & Technical Support
  • Module Applications: Serve as the functional point-of-contact for core SAP SuccessFactors modules, performing hands-on run-rate configurations and system updates for Recruitment (RCM), Performance & Goals (PMGM), and Learning Management (LMS).
  • Interface Specification: Partner with System Integrators (SIs) to review technical specifications, API structures, and data mapping logic using SAP CPI and SAP BIB.
  • Requirements Translation: Gather business needs from functional leads and translate them into clear, structured functional specification documents, ensuring alignment with data security guidelines.
  • Reporting Support: Facilitate foundational workforce reporting, data verification, and basic dashboard setups using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
  • Quality Assurance & Risk Management
  • Test Coordination: Structure and oversee the complete testing lifecycle for system releases, utilizing a Requirement Traceability Matrix to ensure full functional coverage.
  • Defect Resolution: Direct vendor technical teams on defect remediation, manage issue tracking, and support user groups during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Risk Management: Monitor day-to-day project health, identify resource or technical constraints early, and execute established escalation pathways to regional delivery leads.

• Exposure to SuccessFactors Products: Experience working with SuccessFactors solutions, including implementation and management of large-scale HR technology projects.

• Project Management Methodologies: Familiarity with project management methodologies, including developing and executing project plans, resource allocation, and budget management.

• Cross-Functional Team Management: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including SuccessFactors consultants, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

• HR Technology Implementation: Exposure to managing large-scale HR technology implementation projects, including quality assurance and testing of solutions.

• Vendor Relationship Management: Experience working with vendors, including contract management and relationship building to ensure successful project delivery.

Education & Experience:

  • Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience as an IT Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or Junior Project Manager within enterprise ERP/HRIS environments.

Technical Stack & Competencies:

  • Platform Knowledge: Practical experience with system administration or functional configuration within SAP SuccessFactors modules (specifically RCM, PMGM, or LMS).
  • Integration Awareness: Foundational understanding of SAP integration flows, APIs, middleware (SAP CPI), or data mapping (SAP BIB) to effectively collaborate with technical vendors.
  • Methodology: Proven knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
  • Toolsets: Proficiency with enterprise project management tools, issue-tracking software, or defect-logging platforms.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated and capable of driving technical workstreams independently; possesses clear, structured communication skills to collaborate effectively across geographic boundaries.
Preferred technical and professional experience

• SuccessFactors Product Knowledge: Exposure to various SuccessFactors modules and their integration with other HR systems to deliver comprehensive HR solutions.

• Advanced Project Management: Experience with project management tools and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, to manage complex projects and ensure timely delivery.

• HR Technology Implementation: Exposure to implementing HR technology solutions, including data migration, testing, and deployment to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
