In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting FutureNow Centers, where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As a Security Consultant, you specialize in implementing security solutions for clients and stakeholders while addressing security, regulatory, risk, and compliance issues. You maintain a current understanding of industry trends and hold multiple certifications in key cyber security areas.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Implement Security Solutions: Develop and implement comprehensive security solutions to address client needs, ensuring alignment with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
• Identify Risks and Mitigation Plans: Lead in identifying potential security risks and develop effective mitigation plans to minimize threats and ensure business continuity.
• Define Security Strategies: Collaborate with stakeholders to define business-driven security strategies and roadmaps that align with organizational objectives.
• Communicate with Stakeholders: Effectively communicate security initiatives and plans to various stakeholders, ensuring successful implementation and achievement of business objectives.
• Maintain Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and maintain multiple certifications in key cyber security areas to provide expert guidance and advice.
• Exposure to Security Solution Implementation: Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive security solutions, addressing client needs, and ensuring alignment with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Risk Identification and Mitigation: Skilled in identifying potential security risks and developing effective mitigation plans to minimize threats and ensure business continuity.
• Understanding of Security Strategy Development: Experienced in collaborating with stakeholders to define business-driven security strategies and roadmaps that align with organizational objectives.
• Familiarity with Industry Trends and Certifications: Possesses multiple certifications in key cyber security areas and stays up-to-date with industry trends to provide expert guidance and advice.
• Exposure to Stakeholder Communication: Effective communication skills to convey security initiatives and plans to various stakeholders, ensuring successful implementation and achievement of business objectives.
• Multiple Cyber Security Certifications: Holding certifications in key cyber security areas, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH, to demonstrate expertise and stay current with industry developments.
• Industry Trend Awareness: Maintaining a current understanding of industry trends, threats, and emerging technologies to provide informed guidance and advice.
• Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS, to ensure security solutions meet compliance needs.
