Your role and responsibilities
As a Research Scientist specializing in Quantum Compilers & Application Frameworks, you will perform research covering a broad array of topics in Quantum computing. Your expertise will focus on core abstractions of building and manipulating quantum circuits, as well as Quantum compilation toolchains.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Conduct Quantum Computing Research: Perform research covering various topics in Quantum computing, exploring new concepts and techniques to advance the field.
• Develop Quantum Compilation Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise on core abstractions of building and manipulating quantum circuits, as well as Quantum compilation toolchains, to drive innovation and improvement.
• Investigate Quantum Circuit Abstractions: Investigate and analyze core abstractions of building and manipulating quantum circuits to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Advance Quantum Compilation Toolchains: Advance Quantum compilation toolchains to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability, enabling the development of more complex quantum applications.

Required technical and professional expertise
• Quantum Computing Research Expertise: Experience with conducting research in Quantum computing, covering a broad array of topics, including exploring new concepts and techniques to advance the field.
• Quantum Circuit Abstractions Knowledge: Experience with core abstractions of building and manipulating quantum circuits, including identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
• Quantum Compilation Toolchain Proficiency: Experience with Quantum compilation toolchains, including developing and maintaining expertise to drive innovation and improvement.
• Advanced Quantum Computing Concepts: Experience with advanced Quantum computing concepts, including techniques to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability of Quantum compilation toolchains.
• Technical Expertise in Quantum Systems: Experience with technical aspects of Quantum systems, including building, manipulating, and optimizing quantum circuits.
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Familiarity with Quantum Algorithms: Experience with quantum algorithms and their applications, including understanding of quantum parallelism and interference.
• Knowledge of Quantum Error Correction: Experience with quantum error correction techniques, including understanding of noise models and error mitigation strategies.
• Exposure to Quantum Software Frameworks: Experience with software frameworks for quantum computing, including Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#.
