Your role and responsibilities

As a Delivery Project Manager: You will ensure that client needs are satisfied through the formulation, development, implementation, and delivery of application solutions in response to client requirements. You will be responsible for the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements for the delivery organization.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Manage Project Plan and Budget: Develop and manage the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements to ensure successful delivery of application solutions that meet client needs.

• Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Manage efforts of IBM and client employees, as well as third-party vendors, to ensure an integrated solution is provided to meet client needs.

• Ensure Contractual Deliverables: Hold overall responsibility for cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, ensuring that client requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.

• Apply Expert Knowledge: Utilize expert-level knowledge of PM methodologies, including SEI/CMM, emerging technologies, and technical architectures, to influence client actions and provide high-quality solutions.

Project Management Methodologies: Experience with expert-level knowledge of PM methodologies.

🔹 Leadership of Complex and Cross-Branding Projects: Coordinating initiatives that span multiple business units, products, and technologies, ensuring consistency and integration throughout the engagement.
🔹 End-to-End Governance and Execution: Managing scope, financials, risks, communication, and quality to ensure predictability and delivery excellence.
🔹 Engagement with Global Stakeholders: Maintaining structured communication with clients, partners, and internal teams — from technical specialists to executive leaders.
🔹 Performance & KPI Management: Tracking and strategizing around project health, team productivity, costs, revenue, and client satisfaction.
🔹 Influence and Executive Credibility: Acting as a trusted advisor, anticipating risks, driving complex decisions, and guiding stakeholders with clarity.
🔹 Development of High-Performing Teams: Cultivating collaboration, innovation, and a culture of accountability even amid challenging delivery expectations.
🔹 Client-Centric Execution: Ensuring a seamless, transparent, and value-driven experience at every stage.

Preferred technical and professional experience

✔ Proven experience leading complex projects, integrating multiple areas, technologies, and stakeholders.
✔ Strong background in cross-branding initiatives, aligning diverse product lines and business units into a cohesive delivery.
✔ Consistent client-facing experience, including direct interaction with customers, expectation management, executive communication, and handling of critical scenarios.
✔ Strategic communication skills across all organizational levels — from technical engineers to C-suite leaders.
✔ Ability to mediate challenging discussions and guide teams toward structured, sustainable solutions.
✔ Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, Agile PM, CMMI.
  • Experience working with IBM-related or equivalent technologies (Cloud, Data & AI, Security, Automation, etc.).
  • Solid track record delivering through agile or hybrid frameworks.
