Your role and responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Specialist for Cloud Migration and Modernization, you will implement designed tooling solutions and execute migrations following established run-books and work instructions. You will work under the guidance of the Infrastructure Architect: Cloud Migration & Modernization, leveraging your expertise in the Cloud Migration and Modernization program phases. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Implement Migration Solutions: Execute migrations following run-book and work instructions developed by Infrastructure Architect, ensuring successful transition to cloud-based systems. • Resolve Migration Issues: Work on technical remediation actions to resolve migration issues, utilizing expertise in Cloud Migration and Modernization program phases. • Collaborate with Clients: Work with clients to understand their cloud migration and modernization expectations, providing expert knowledge of the IBM Garage Method for Cloud Methodology. • Improve CMM Method: Contribute to the improvement of the CMM method, providing feedback for program automation and leading to continuous service improvement. • Provide Expert Guidance: Offer expert knowledge of the associated standard tools established in the Cloud Migration and Modernization Tools Portfolio.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Deep Expertise in Cloud Migration Methodologies: Proven experience with cloud migration and modernization program phases, including discovery, planning, execution, and testing. Strong understanding of the IBM Garage Method for Cloud Methodology and associated standard tools. • Technical Remediation Expertise: Experience in resolving migration issues through technical remediation actions, with a strong focus on problem-solving and analytical skills. • Client-Facing Experience: Proven ability to work with clients to understand their cloud migration and modernization expectations, providing expert guidance and support. • Tooling Solutions Implementation: Experience implementing designed tooling solutions and executing migrations following established run-books and work instructions. • Continuous Service Improvement: Experience contributing to the improvement of cloud migration and modernization methods, providing feedback for program automation and leading to continuous service improvement.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Expert Knowledge of Cloud Migration Tools: Deep understanding of the associated standard tools established in the Cloud Migration and Modernization Tools Portfolio, with the ability to provide expert guidance and support. • Advanced Problem-Solving Skills: Experience with technical remediation actions to resolve complex migration issues, with a strong focus on analytical skills and creative problem-solving. • Program Automation Expertise: Experience providing feedback for program automation, leading to continuous service improvement and optimization of cloud migration and modernization methods.
