Your role and responsibilities

- Expertise in SAP Basis, including system installation, upgrades, and performance tuning.

- In-depth knowledge of conversion from S4HANA HUB deployment to standalone merge.

- In-depth knowledge of Designing high available and disaster recovery scenarios.

- In-depth knowledge of SAP applications and system landscapes, including the ability to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SAP systems.

- In-depth knowledge of Operating System (Linux/Unix/Windows).

- Sybase knowledge and experience.

- Expertise in PO , BOBJ and BW4HANA.

- Experience of SAP Security activities during SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects, ensuring secure and compliant implementation of new releases.

- Perform authorization impact assessments and identify security-related changes introduced by the upgraded SAP S/4HANA version.

- Execute and validate SU25 upgrade activities, including authorization proposal updates and role adjustments.

- Review, remediate, and optimize SAP roles, profiles, and authorization objects affected by the upgrade.

- Conduct security testing and validation for business processes, interfaces, SAP Fiori applications, and custom developments following the upgrade.

- Analyze and resolve authorization issues identified during upgrade testing, cutover, and post-go-live support.

- Review and update SAP Fiori catalogs, spaces, pages, business roles, and OData service authorizations as part of the upgrade process.

- Validate Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Management, and authentication mechanisms after the upgrade.

- Collaborate with Basis, Functional, Development, Audit, and Compliance teams to ensure security requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

- Support hypercare and stabilization activities by resolving security-related incidents and user access issues.

- Maintain security documentation, role design standards, and upgrade-related compliance records.

- Expertise in executing SAP S/4HANA version upgrades, Feature Package Stack (FPS) updates, and Support Package Stack (SPS) implementations.

- Plan and perform end-to-end SAP S/4HANA upgrade activities, including assessment, preparation, execution, cutover, and post-go-live support.

- Conduct SAP Maintenance Planner activities and prepare upgrade roadmaps and technical strategies.

- Execute SAP Software Update Manager (SUM) upgrade procedures and manage upgrade-related technical tasks.

- Perform impact analysis for SAP S/4HANA upgrades, including custom developments, interfaces, Fiori applications, and third-party integrations.

- Coordinate upgrade activities across SAP Basis, Security, Development, Functional, Infrastructure, and Business teams.

- Validate system readiness and perform pre-upgrade and post-upgrade health checks.

- Manage SAP kernel upgrades, database revisions, and operating system compatibility requirements.

- Support SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, and embedded analytics upgrades associated with SAP S/4HANA releases.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during upgrade cycles.

- Develop upgrade runbooks, rollback procedures, and cutover plans to minimize business downtime.

- Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, security standards, and performance requirements during upgrade projects.

- Support hypercare activities and system stabilization following upgrade go-live.

- Perform capacity planning and performance optimization to support new S/4HANA release requirements.

- Designs the overall structure of the SAP system, including modules, interfaces, and integration points.

- Ensure that the solution aligns with industry’s best practices and meets security and performance requirements.

- Effective documentation skills to maintain clear and organized records of system configurations, changes, and processes.

- Ability to provide guidance to development teams and oversee the implementation process to ensure successful delivery of the SAP solution.

- Define user roles and permissions, implement user provisioning and deprovisioning processes & Monitor user activity and identify suspicious behavior.

- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Proven hands-on experience performing SAP S/4HANA version upgrades, FPS/SPS updates, and technical maintenance projects.

- Proven experience as an SAP Basis consultant E2E implementation with minimum 4 years as SAP Basis consultant.

- Strong expertise in SAP Software Update Manager (SUM), Maintenance Planner, and Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM).

- Proven experience supporting SAP Security activities during SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects, including version upgrades, FPS, and SPS implementations.

- Strong expertise in SAP Authorization concepts, role design, user administration, and security governance.

- Hands-on experience with SU25, SU24, PFCG, SU53, SUIM, STAUTHTRACE, and authorization troubleshooting tools.

- Experience performing security impact assessments and role remediation activities during SAP upgrades.

- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Security architecture and authorization framework.

- Experience with SAP Fiori Security, including catalogs, spaces, pages, business roles, and OData service authorizations.

- Knowledge of SAP Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Management, and authentication technologies.

- Experience validating security controls and user access after SAP upgrades and support package implementations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex authorization issues.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in cross-functional upgrade project teams.

- Strong understanding of SAP kernel upgrades, HANA revisions, and SAP release management processes.

- Strong knowledge of SAP system architecture, HANA database administration, and operating systems, SAP system architecture, SAP security standards.

- Strong knowledge of SAP HANA backup, recovery, system replication, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.

- Experience in the interaction of business processes and SAP systems with regards to SAP Security implementation best practice.

- Familiarity with SAP system installations, upgrades, and patches.

- Proficiency in SAP system monitoring and performance tuning.

- Knowledge of SAP security concepts and user management.

- Experience in SAP SSO solutions.

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.

- Advanced in English (Speaking, Written).

- SAP certifications for the mentioned role.

- Flexibility to work in different time zones.

- Experience with SAP Solution Manager, Charm, and ITSM processes in upgrade projects.

- Experience in troubleshooting upgrade-related performance, integration, and authorization issues.

- Experience performing technical validation and impact assessments for SAP S/4HANA upgrades.

- Knowledge of SAP Readiness Check, Simplification Item Checks, and Upgrade Dependency Analyzer tools.

- Experience supporting SAP Fiori Front-End Server, SAP Gateway, and embedded Fiori deployments during upgrades.

- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and database administration in enterprise SAP landscapes.

- SAP Certified Technology Associate certification in SAP S/4HANA or SAP System Administration is highly preferred.

- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills in enterprise upgrade projects.

• SAP HANA Security Expertise: Experience with implementing and maintaining secure SAP HANA applications, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data. Knowledge of SAP HANA security features, including data encryption and access controls. • Security Risk Management: Experience in conducting security assessments and risk analyses for SAP HANA applications to identify potential vulnerabilities and mitigate security risks. Familiarity with security risk management frameworks and methodologies. • Technical Documentation Skills: Experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base related to SAP HANA security features, trends, and best practices. Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
