Your role and responsibilities

As a Business Transformation Consultant specializing in Operational Risk Management, you will leverage your expertise in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) to help clients achieve their governance and compliance goals. This role requires technical proficiency in GRC tools like IBM OpenPages and its component modules, as well as the ability to collaborate with clients to deliver tailored solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

A. Data Mining:

  • Oversee accurate and timely data ingestion from 10+ enterprise source systems—including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and other platforms—into the Bronze layer of the Azure Data Lake, ensuring completeness and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain reusable curated datasets (e.g., Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Billing, etc.) to support audit analytics, operational insights, and advanced analytical use cases.
  • Design and optimize SQL, PySpark, and Python scripts to process and analyse large‑scale enterprise datasets with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Ensure ingestion of the latest data versions by managing and validating full and delta loads, maintaining consistency and freshness of curated datasets within the data lake.

B. Audit Analytics & Insights

  • Develop reusable, parameterized analytic scripts to automate common audit tests such as duplicate payments, three‑way match exceptions, manual journal entry anomalies, and vendor/customer master data changes, ensuring consistency, scalability, and repeatability across engagements.
  • Deliver clear, explainable findings supported by root‑cause analysis and assessment of business impact. Collaborate with stakeholders to track remediation actions, timelines, and closure of identified issues.

C. Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM)

  • Design, implement, and operationalize Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM) rules, along with supporting schedules and data pipelines (daily/weekly/monthly). Define alerting mechanisms, ownership structures, and SLA‑based workflows to ensure timely monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Maintain a comprehensive CCM rule inventory, documenting full lineage from control → rule → data source → dashboard/alert, ensuring traceability, auditability, and alignment with governance standards.

D. Visualization & Storytelling

  • Build Power BI (or Tableau/Qlik) or CCM platform dashboards for CCM and audit packs - clear KPIs, filters, drill-downs, and narrative callouts for management.
  • Publish self-service views for Internal Audit and process owners with row-level security.

E. Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Maintain documentation: data dictionaries, test scripts, rule logic, controls mapping, and change logs.

F. Collaboration & Enablement

  • Partner with Audit Managers to embed analytics into planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
  • Conduct enablement sessions for auditors on dashboards, queries, and interpretation.
