Introduction

IBM is looking for professionals at the start of their careers with fluent German and English language knowledge to support its prestigious Client from the semiconductor industry, as Operations Buyer.
The Operations Buyer is responsible for order fulfillment transactions and purchase order (PO) placement. The scope also covers other additional activities like PO changes and blocked invoice resolution, in addition to order-related help request handling via telephone or e-mail.

Your role and responsibilities

* Review purchase requisition requirements
* Communication with requesters and suppliers for information when required
* Procurement of low value purchases below agreed clip level (amount of agreed buy)
* Efficient processing of POs within SAP application and other client based applications
* Receive and handle emails, tickets from clients
* Work based on all client specific processes and procedures
* Initiate new supplier set up as required
* Resolve blocked invoices by interacting with relevant stakeholder groups including Sourcing Buyer and Category Manager
* Ensure full quality compliance and audit readiness of all purchasing documents
* Follow up pending or delayed issues via phone / e-mail and escalate to leadership when necessary
* Other relevant tasks in connection to the role and responsibilities of an Operational Buyer.

Required education
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

* Business acumen
* Strong verbal and written communication skills both in English and German (fluent)
* Customer centricity
* Accuracy in data entry
* Time management
* Team spirit

Preferred technical and professional experience

* MS Office - particularly Excel skills are desired
* MS Outlook knowledge is considered an advantage
* SAP knowledge is considered an advantage
* ServiceNow (SNOW) knowledge is considered an advantage
* Ability to work SMART, including usage of different AI solutions
* Previous Accounts Payable OR Accounts Receivable experience
