Your role and responsibilities

As a Project Manager: Custom Development, you will lead a project team in delivering custom development solutions according to project charter or contract. You will have overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Manage Project Plan and Budget: Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of custom development solutions. This includes defining project scope, identifying and allocating resources, and establishing key milestones. • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Direct and coordinate the activities of IBM and client employees, as well as third-party vendors, to achieve project objectives. This involves providing guidance, coaching, and oversight to ensure successful project execution. • Ensure Contractual Compliance: Oversee and manage contractual deliverables, ensuring that all obligations are met and that the project is delivered in accordance with the agreed-upon terms and conditions. • Apply PM Methodologies: Utilize project management methodologies to drive project delivery, leveraging best practices and industry standards to ensure efficient and effective project execution.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Project Management Methodologies: Experience with project management methodologies, including best practices and industry standards, to drive project delivery and ensure efficient and effective project execution. • Project Planning and Budgeting: Experience with developing and managing project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of custom development solutions. • Team Leadership: Experience in leading cross-functional teams, including directing and coordinating the activities of employees and third-party vendors, to achieve project objectives. • Contract Management: Experience with managing contractual deliverables, ensuring that all obligations are met and that projects are delivered in accordance with agreed-upon terms and conditions. • Scope and Resource Management: Experience with defining project scope, identifying and allocating resources, and establishing key milestones to ensure successful project execution.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Deep Expertise in PM Methodologies: Experience with multiple project management methodologies, including best practices and industry standards, to drive project delivery and ensure efficient and effective project execution. • Advanced Project Planning: Experience with complex project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of custom development solutions. • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Experience in leading large, diverse teams, including directing and coordinating the activities of employees and third-party vendors, to achieve project objectives.
