As a Software Architect: Generalist, you will define the product/solution architecture and describe how elements of the technologies interoperate in the solution/product architecture. You will be responsible for defining the product/solution roadmap in line with business unit strategy. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Define and maintain frontend/UI architecture and high-level design for applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather functional, UX, and non-functional requirements.
• Establish and evolve design systems, UI component libraries, and frontend standards.
• Guide development teams in implementing scalable, reusable, and maintainable UI solutions.
• Ensure applications meet performance, accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness, and security standards.
• Architect micro-frontend and modular UI solutions for large-scale systems.
• Work closely with backend teams to define API contracts and integration patterns.
• Evaluate and recommend frontend frameworks, tools, and emerging technologies.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce UI best practices and coding standards.
• Optimize applications for performance (Core Web Vitals), SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Troubleshoot UI/UX performance and rendering issues.
• Integrate AI-driven UI capabilities (e.g., intelligent assistants, personalization, adaptive UI).
• Design UI interactions for AI/ML-powered features and workflows.
• Strong expertise in frontend architecture, design patterns, and principles.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, NgRx, etc.).
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with micro-frontends and component-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with backend technologies (Java, Node.js, or Python) for integration.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs and frontend-backend integration.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (IBM, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and frontend build pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in building and scaling enterprise design systems and UI frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), usability, and UX best practices.
• Experience with frontend performance optimization and monitoring tools.
• Exposure to Static Code Analysis tools for frontend codebases.
• Understanding of security best practices in UI (XSS, CSRF, secure auth flows).
• Familiarity with IDE plugin or developer tooling for frontend productivity.
• AI/ML exposure:
o Experience integrating Generative AI in UI workflows.
o Knowledge of prompt engineering and AI-driven UX patterns.
• Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, etc.).
• Understanding of edge rendering, SSR/CSR strategies (Next.js, Nuxt.js).
