Duties
As a Civil Aviation Safety Inspector, you play a critical role in ensuring the safety of Canada’s air navigation system. You will oversee compliance with the Aeronautics Act and Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) by assessing operations, identifying risks, and working closely with industry and government partners.Your responsibilities include:
👉Planning and conducting aviation safety oversight activities such as inspections, audits, assessments, and validations.
👉Exercising delegated Ministerial authority and overseeing delegated authorities.
👉Identifying, assessing, and documenting aviation safety risks, and recommending effective risk‑management solutions.
👉Reviewing operational and technical documentation, evaluating performance, and preparing briefing notes and correspondence.
👉Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management, industry representatives, and internal and external partners.
👉Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver a nationally integrated aviation safety oversight program.
👉Supporting and promoting Transport Canada and Government of Canada priorities across technical and operational domains.This role combines analytical work with real‑world operational exposure and meaningful influence on aviation safety.
