🔸Salary, Allowances, and Benefits:
In addition to salary, you are entitled to an isolated posts allowance. This can range from $26,770 to $44,616 per year, depending on the number of dependants, geographic location and whether the accommodation is provided by the Government of Canada. You are also entitled to vacation travel allowance of approximately $2 000 twice a year for you and each eligible dependant.
As a federal government employee, you will also receive a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan and health, dental and group insurance.

Senior Environmental Assessment Specialists will work with management to:
• Review scientific, engineering, and regulatory documents to provide input on potential ecosystemic concerns related to: water management and treatment, engineering and infrastructure related to mine works, mine tailings, fill material, waste rock management, reclamation, hazardous waste and material management, accidents and malfunctions, environmental management and protection plans, and adaptive management.
• Forecast policy-related activities and facilitate planning for work requirements.
• Provide technical critique on proposed plans and recommended actions.
• Create briefings for management and executives.
• Coordinate experts and internal conversations to advance participation in project working groups and discussions with stakeholders.
• Participate in public hearings.

• Experience in conducting technical review of project development applications to characterize potential impacts and mitigations to water.
• Experience in identifying the need for and managing contracts with independent consulting companies within fixed timelines.

• Experience in applying legislation, regulations, policies and governance related to Impact Assessment.
