💼 As Deputy Warden, you will be responsible for various areas of the penitentiary such as operations management, institutional security, security intelligence institutional, correctional interventions, case management, correctional programs, chaplaincy services and interventions with Indigenous people.
You will also have significant responsibilities in human resources and financial resources management. You will also collaborate with partners from the Correctional Service of Canada, as well as with justice sector organizations and community partners and resources.
🏢 The role takes place in a maximum security federal correctional facility for men.
Please note that this position requires physical attendance at the federal facility five days a week. The selected candidate must be able to perform their duties on-site to ensure the management of all necessary activities.

EDUCATION:
• A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma.
EXPERIENCE:
• Significant* experience in the management of correctional operations and/or interventions and/or management services in an institutional (including clinical) or community setting.
• Experience in the management of human resources**.
• Experience in the management of financial resources***.
* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience usually acquired with a minimum of two years combined experience.
** At least one full cycle of performance management as a supervisor.
*** At least one full financial cycle (fiscal year) as a budget manager.
EDUCATION:
• Graduation with a degree from a post-secondary institution.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience working in a correctional institution.
• Experience in managing correctional operational crisis situations.
• Experience working with Indigenous offenders.
• Experience working with offenders who have mental health problems.
• Experience in negotiation, mediation and dispute resolution.
