The student will utilize existing AI tools and develop new tools (coding) to analyse datasets to develop a protein interaction database.
The overall goal is to understand the mechanisms of fungal/plant pathogenesis. This will require using tools of Network analysis, Protein-protein interaction using Alpha-fold and related software. The student will learn to work independently but in a team environment. The student would need to be in the Ottawa RDC in-person.

Education:
Currently enrolled or willing to enroll by the date of appointment in a master’s program with specialization in data science, fungal genetics, or protein structure analysis.
Experience:
Experience in Machine learning, coding, use of AI technology such as Alphafold.
Experience in working with MS Excel for data management and analysis.
Experience in programing in Phyton or the R computational environment.
*In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.
