🔸Salary, Allowances, and Benefits:

In addition to salary, you are entitled to an isolated posts allowance. This can range from $26,770 to $44,616 per year, depending on the number of dependants, geographic location and whether the accommodation is provided by the Crown. You are also entitled to vacation travel allowance of approximately $2 000 twice a year for you and each eligible dependant.

As a federal government employee, you will also receive a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan and health, dental and group insurance.

Duties

The position involves managing programs or projects by developing and implementing plans, procedures, standards, and guidelines related to the administration of key services such as crown housing, relocation, security, and health and safety.

The role requires oversight of financial resources within an operational budget and the ability to gather and analyze information from multiple sources to develop sound recommendations. Providing high-quality services to clients is essential, along with strong oral and written communication skills.

The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity and respect, work collaboratively, show initiative, and apply critical thinking to achieve results.

Work environment

Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) continues to renew the nation-to-nation, Inuit-Crown, government-to-government relationship between Canada and First Nations, Inuit and Métis; modernize Government of Canada structures to enable Indigenous peoples to build capacity and support their vision of self-determination; and lead the Government of Canada's work in the North.

Intent of the process

📢 Immediate need: One (1) full-time indeterminate position located at Iqaluit, NU.

This process will be used to fill current vacancies and to establish a pool of qualified candidates for future opportunities (Deployment, Assignment, Secondment, Acting, Term or Indeterminate) in Nunavut only, with various security requirements (reliability or secret). This pool can also be used after the transfer date to the Government of Nunavut.
